OhSnap Snap Wallet 2 Turns a Phone Wallet Into a Lever-Action Gadget
Gadgets·October 5, 2026

OhSnap, the accessory maker behind the slim Snap Grip Stand, is back with a new take on the magnetic phone wallet. The Snap Wallet 2 is an aluminum card holder with a lever-action mechanism, and The Verge's Sean Hollister calls it the coolest wallet they have ever stuck to a phone.
The design is built around customization. Rather than a fixed pouch, the wallet is modular and assembles without tools. You can make it thicker if you want to carry more cards, add double-sided magnets so it clings to your phone, or attach an ID badge holder. The lever lets you push cards out for quick access, a nod to the pop-up wallets that have been popular for years but with a more mechanical feel.
It also plays well with the rest of OhSnap's lineup. The wallet can stack with the Snap Grip Stand, which Hollister liked enough to buy for personal use after reviewing it. That means a single magnetic mount on the back of your phone can handle cards and a grip or kickstand at once, without bolting on a bulky case.
The catch is the price. Starting at $60, the Snap Wallet 2 sits well above the typical magnetic card holder, and adding accessories and extra modules can push the total higher. For people who just want to carry a couple of cards, a cheap silicone or leather sleeve still does the job.
Still, the appeal is clear for anyone who likes tinkering with their gear. In a category crowded with near-identical slabs, a wallet you can reconfigure by hand, make thicker or thinner as needed, and combine with other mounts is a genuine differentiator. Whether that is worth the premium will depend on how much you value the build quality and the satisfying lever action.
